Confused about the CBSE Class 10 Board English exam 2022? You’re not alone! Here are some important questions and resources to help you get started preparing for this difficult English exam.
1) Section A Comprehension

Students must have done previous 6 reading books for preparation of such questions. Here some of Passage for Practice to get Success in Writing Paragraphs under Topic – Art & Culture
2) Section B Grammar
Passage Writing In Passage Writing, students are required to read a passage carefully and then answer five questions based on it. This section is meant to help you understand how to approach passages in a systematic manner. There are four types of questions that can be asked under these skills - Identifying The Key Idea, Understanding Structures, Generating Ideas, Understanding Relationships/Comprehension of Text. Below we have given model answers for all these types of questions along with three sample passages. You should attempt them first before moving onto other sections of our guide which deal with each type of question individually in detail.. Model Answers 1) When is an understanding question expected?
3) Section C Phrase/Sentence Completion
Phrase/Sentence Completion questions give you a sentence with a blank in it. You are expected to choose an option which best fits into that space. Some sentences will have more than one blank, while others will have no blanks at all. In such cases, both answers could fit, but you would still be asked to pick only one answer. The test paper will contain questions of varying difficulty level and there may be some grammatical errors in some of them.
4) Vocabulary Building Exercises
Vocabulary is a key component of writing, since it describes how ideas are organized. By putting your vocabulary words into context with sentences, you’ll learn not only to use those words in different ways, but also to distinguish between synonyms and understand their subtleties. Identify one or two new vocabulary words that you’d like to learn (i.e., familiarize yourself with) and use them in sentences, looking up their definitions as necessary. For example: Decimate means to destroy or kill a large part of something, while subdue means to bring under control. The first implies widespread death; subdue implies order brought by force.
5) What you should know about sentence correction questions
Sentence correction questions test grammar (including punctuation) and logic. Sentence correction questions can be tricky because it’s easy to misinterpret what’s being asked, especially if you don’t have time to read through all of them at once. Also, you don’t have time to go back and make corrections on a separate sheet of paper, so you need to be able to change your answer instantly if something is incorrect or misspelled. So start by reading through all five options very carefully for each question and then choosing which option (A-E) best fits with what you think was meant by each sentence—there may be an idea that fits better than one of the options listed in case it's not perfect.
6) Noun Clauses, Verb Forms, Essay Writing Tips
Noun clauses, also known as nominal clauses, are a type of subordinate clause that starts with a noun. For example, the dog which ate my homework contains a subordinate clause starting with which. Subordinate clauses can also be verb phrases like who do you think did it. Noun clauses serve to modify another word or phrase in a sentence. Consider these examples of noun clauses in action: The book [that] I read is by James Patterson. In that sentence, we use which to modify book by telling us more about what kind of book it is.
7) Test-Taking Strategies
The easiest way to prepare for an exam is to take a practice test. The problem is that most exams do not come with sample questions, so you have to create your own practice tests. The best way to do that is by creating a list of all possible questions or points you can be tested on in your exam and then writing an answer to each one. You can use websites such as Sparknotes or Cliffnotes if you are going into a class in school, but even if you aren’t, use these sites as resources for learning grammar and structure which will help when writing out answers for each question on your test-taking strategies study guide. I suggest taking 15 minutes every day studying from home so that by next year's English exam, it will become second nature.
