To all the class 10th and 12th students of CBSE Board, listen up! As the year draws to an end, you need to start preparing yourself for the most important exam of your life - the CBSE Board Exam! In fact, if you wait till January, it will be too late to start studying in time. So here are some last minute suggestions that will help you score well in your exams, and improve your prospects of getting into an excellent college after that!
Once the syllabus is finalised, learn it properly
While most of your studies will involve solving questions, it’s crucial that you are familiar with each and every topic. Once you have thoroughly studied each chapter, it is time to learn all ‘Important Questions’ and know how to solve them. Don’t just focus on getting marks but try to improve on your speed as well as accuracy. Writing perfect answers might take a while but they help a lot in improving accuracy and checking if you are comprehending everything properly or not. All in all, proper preparation can give good results; even late preparation can have good results. So whatever be your last minute preparation, study well!
Don’t just mug up formulas
The study of mathematical formulas and concepts isn’t going to be of much use if you aren’t familiar with applying them. This is why a key component of any preparation method should be learning how to write correct answer in response to questions. Many people think that writing, the sum of x and y is 8, will be enough when faced with such a question on an exam, but it won’t - there are further requirements about explaining why you have arrived at your answer in order to receive full marks. There are also important tips about answering correctly; for example, you will often need to prove your answers using steps in addition to providing them directly.
Participate in extra-curricular activities
Participating in extra-curricular activities is a great way to exercise your brain and learn valuable skills, such as leadership and problem solving. The Common Career Assessments Consortium (CCAC) uses standardized tests to rank colleges by their students' success. Studies show that you're more likely to have a successful career if you participate in an extracurricular activity (one example of which is being on a sports team). Students who engage in extracurricular activities experience greater academic success and are more likely to graduate from college than those who don't—even controlling for SAT scores and other factors. Participating in an activity that's not related to academics could help you find your passion and discover hidden strengths within yourself.
Constantly revise notes with teachers and peers
One of the biggest mistakes students make is not revising enough. Ask your teachers what they expect to see on exam day and revise accordingly. It might sound obvious, but you can’t predict what will be in an exam or what questions will be asked, so it’s important to revise everything you know well. The easiest way to do that is to sit down with a study buddy who knows just as much as you do about a subject, and ask them questions about things that confuse you; that way, both of you are learning at once! Asking peers and teachers for tips before exam day will help you polish up skills like writing correct answers under timed conditions and improve on areas that come more naturally to some than others.
Visit your school library regularly
Spending time in your school library is a great way to gather study resources and learn how to write correct answer in CBSE board exam. One of the most important factors that determines your grades are whether you’ve learned how to write perfect answers or not. If you still need some help, check out some websites that offer writing tips.
Never give up hope!
Like it or not, there are no do-overs. The only way to improve is to practice what you did wrong and get a head start on preparing for next year’s exams. Getting an A+ can be challenging, but it is by no means impossible. As long as you don’t give up hope (and keep practicing!), we’re sure you’ll do just fine.
Stay calm in examinations
It is essential to stay calm during exams. This is often quite a difficult task, but it can be accomplished if you remain focused on your answers. If you don’t know an answer, leave it blank and move on, returning to that question at a later time if you have time. What’s important is that your total number of correct answers adds up to 100.
